Join a Slovenian couple living on a charming farm near Tiveden National Park, Sweden. They split their time between remote work and farm life, caring for six horses, four sheep, three dogs, chickens, and a cat.

Their goal is to create a non-profit retreat center to help animals and people with mental health issues. They offer knowledge in equine care, eco-farming, carpentry, cooking, and mental wellness.

Surrounded by the stunning forests and lakes of southern Sweden, the farm is ideal for creative activities like writing, painting, and music. The nearby Tiveden National Park and lakes Vänern and Vättern offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, cycling, canoeing, and barbecues.

Tasks

Depending on the season, you’ll help with gardening, replanting trees, stable renovations, building fences, horse care, firewood collection, and harvesting blueberries and mushrooms.

Creative projects like building a sensory path, outdoor shower, and greenhouse are also available. Tasks are flexible and tailored to your skills and comfort level. Expect to work up to 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Accommodation

Stay in a well-maintained caravan with a bedroom, kitchen, heating, and Wi-Fi, suitable for two people. They also provide bicycles, sporting equipment, and a barbecue. If you have your own caravan or tent, there’s ample space. Well-behaved animals are welcome.

By May, the guest house for 4-6 people will be ready. Laundry facilities are available, and they offer breakfast and lunch, mainly vegetable-based with some fish and meat. They accommodate dietary preferences, including vegetarian and vegan.
