Join a family on their small farm near Ribble Valley, Wyre, just an hour from the Lakes District and Manchester. Their home is lively with 4 horses, 6 dogs, a pig, chickens, and three cats. Winter transitions into spring and brings a host of tasks like spring cleaning, gardening, and prepping for the year ahead. They welcome volunteers who enjoy good food and are ready to help out for several hours each day. Weekends are free for exploring or relaxing.

Tasks

Help with various tasks around the farm, including spring cleaning, washing surfaces, organizing cupboards, and stowing items in the attic. You might also assist with painting, power-washing, gardening, log chopping, and possibly fencing. The dogs and cats will appreciate your attention, and you can enjoy spending time with our ponies and pig.

Accommodation

You will stay in clean, comfortable private accommodation equipped with your own TV and fast broadband. We provide high-quality produce for you to prepare your meals, including fresh, free-range eggs from our farm. Your preferences are important to us, so we’ll ensure you have what you need to enjoy your stay.

Location

The nearest airport is Manchester Airport, and for train travel, you can use either Preston Central or Poulton le Fylde stations. They can arrange to collect you from the station if needed.
