Overview

Join an off-grid farm in Colorado for a unique experience. Stay in a cozy private camper with a queen-size bed, mini kitchen, hot water, shower, rocket stove, and compost toilet.

You’ll enjoy farm life with goats, pigs, and seasonal creek activities. Prepare for hard work, including moving animal panels, lifting heavy items, and various farm projects.

Weather varies greatly, so pack for three seasons. Pueblo has stores for any additional gear you might need.

Tasks

You’ll help with hauling water, feeding and watering animals, moving feed bags, chopping wood, forestry work, rotating animal panels, and general farm maintenance.

Tasks may also include building garden beds and possibly butchering chickens and ducks.

Accommodation

Stay in a custom 12’x8′ off-grid camper with solar power, running water, a hot water heater, a queen-size bed, a propane stove, a mini fridge, and pantry items.

Enjoy seasonal farm produce, homemade kombucha, milk kefir, and weekly potluck dinners.

Location

The farm is 20 miles south of Pueblo, near Colorado City and Rye. They offer transportation from Pueblo if you arrive by plane or bus. The city is easily accessible via Pueblo Memorial Airport or a short drive from Colorado Springs.

Pueblo, Colorado offers rich history, vibrant arts, and outdoor activities. Visit the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk for scenic boat rides and dining.

Explore the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum and Sangre de Cristo Arts Center for cultural experiences. For nature lovers, Lake Pueblo State Park offers boating, fishing, and camping.

Expect hard work and familiarize yourself with humanure composting.

Alcohol and tobacco are not allowed on the property, but responsible 420 and magic mushroom use is permitted. We emphasize healthy eating, so junk food and soda are prohibited.
