Join a family of four on a tranquil farm in Quebec! They have two young adult children currently studying at university, two friendly Australian shepherd dogs, two cats, and a variety of wild animals that share a beautiful vegetable, flower, and blueberry farm.

Having lived in Southeast Asia for two decades and traveled extensively, they cherish meeting new people and sharing life and work experiences.

Since 2019, they have been cultivating our 55-hectare property, which includes a forest, a blueberry patch, and a market garden. They are passionate about improving the farm and invite you to join.

Tasks

They are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with:

  • Vegetable Cultivation – Seeding, transplanting, weeding, fertilizing, harvesting, washing, and packing.
  • Flower Cultivation – Helping with the growth and maintenance of cut flowers.
  • Blueberry Harvesting – Picking and processing blueberries.

Tasks are varied to keep your day interesting and engaging. Work occurs in both fields and tunnels, depending on the weather.

Activities are adjusted based on the conditions: working in tunnels on rainy or cold days, and starting early on hot days to avoid the heat. Half-day shifts are standard, with the option to extend hours if desired.

Accommodation

Stay in the guest room in a charming old farmhouse. Shared bathrooms are available. The bedroom includes a desk for personal projects, with good WiFi access.

Location

The farm is located about 5 kilometers from a small village with essential amenities and 20 kilometers from a small city with a population of 15,000.

The farm is accessible from Montreal by bus and train. It is approximately 30 minutes from a bus and train station, and we can pick you up from the station.
