Germá is seeking enthusiastic volunteers who are eager to learn about cocoa cultivation and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of his farm. Tasks include:

  • Cocoa Cultivation – Engage in the entire process from harvesting to seedling preparation.
  • Farm Maintenance – Participate in carpentry, construction, painting, decorating, and gardening.
  • Common Area Care – Assist with cleaning and upkeep of shared spaces.

Tasks

The day begins with breakfast at 8AM, followed by 4-5 hours of work on the farm. Depending on the season, tasks may involve fruit collection, tree pruning, or nursery work. Afternoons and Sundays are free, allowing volunteers to explore, relax, or engage in personal activities.

Before breakfast, there’s an opportunity to practice yoga in the studio, providing a perfect setting for meditation, writing, or making music. Meals are an essential part of life at Arcapacha, so it’s important to take time to prepare and enjoy food together.

Accommodation

Germá offers comfortable accommodation options, including rooms with bunk beds and single rooms. The facilities provide everything you need for a restful stay amidst the farm’s natural beauty.

Location

Arcapacha is located near Melgar. From Bogotá, you can take a bus to Melgar, followed by a bus or taxi to the farm. Alternatively, Germá can pick you up at the Melgar bus terminal.
