Although the hostel in Kathmandu closed during the lockdown, they’re now reviving the project in Chitwan with even more artistic and cozy elements. To achieve this, they need your help to bring Manish’s inspiring vision to life.

Tasks / Who They’re Looking For

They need individuals with a variety of skills, including:

  • Artists and creative decorators to paint murals and add artistic touches.
  • Marketing professionals or anyone with marketing experience.
  • Gardeners and landscapers to beautify the garden.
  • Web developers with WordPress skills to help create our website and provide training.

  • Individuals experienced in running businesses or hostels to share their knowledge and expertise.

Accommodation

Volunteers will stay in a renovated house, now a six-bed dorm room with great potential. The house is in good condition but needs decorative touches.

For long hours, food will also be provided. The environment will be lively, with everyone staying together as a team and assisting each other with the project.

Location

Located in the heart of Chitwan, Bharatpur, the hostel is just a 2-minute walk from the Narayani River and close to the city center and transportation hub, making it easy to travel anywhere in Nepal.

They offer pickup from the bus station in Narayangarh, Bharatpur. The distance from Kathmandu to Chitwan is about 146 kilometers (91 miles), typically a 5 to 6-hour journey by bus or car.

Known for Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it offers opportunities to see rhinos, tigers, and other wildlife.

For a comfortable journey, book tickets with reputable bus services. Local transport options include rickshaws and taxis.

The best time to visit is from October to March when the weather is mild. Remember to bring appropriate clothing for jungle activities and a good insect repellent.
