Join a surf hostel in Peniche, located near the beach and popular surf spots. The hostel features shared spaces like the kitchen, living room, bathrooms, and outdoor areas, creating a relaxed environment for guests.
This opportunity is perfect for experiencing the island and meeting people from diverse backgrounds. They’re looking for volunteers with skills in design, marketing, or photography.
You’ll handle tasks such as cleaning, changing beds, reception duties, and check-ins/check-outs.
The workload is 2-3 hours per day, six days a week during low/mid seasons, and 3-4 hours per day in summer, leaving plenty of free time for leisure activities. They are looking for one or two helpers who can stay for at least one month.
Tasks
The helpers will develop skills in:
- Learning Portuguese and English languages.
- Conducting check-in and check-out procedures.
- Surfing, yoga, and other ocean-related activities.
- Exploring the magnificent beaches of the area.
Helpers will always have either the morning or afternoon off, allowing you to enjoy the surroundings and various water sports.
Accommodation
In exchange for your work, they offer a private room shared with another helper, fresh linens, laundry facilities, free WiFi, one surf lesson, and a beginner surfboard.
