Join an “Animal Army” volunteer team and assist in the daily operations of an animal rescue centre in Thailand. Your duties will include daily cleaning, feeding, and spending playtime with the inpatients. You’ll also have the chance to witness live surgeries and medical care firsthand. You will participate in animal rescue efforts and experience the day-to-day operations of a veterinary hospital. Your support is vital to the mission, and they are very excited for you join.

Tasks

Volunteering involves feeding, cleaning, bathing, and playing with the inpatients, helping them recover. You’ll also be part of the animal rescue efforts and get a close look at the operations of a veterinary hospital. Your contribution is essential to efficiency and the well-being of the patients.

Accommodation

Accommodation is in two guest houses near the clinic, just a minute’s walk away. Each house has two bedrooms, accommodating up to four people each (eight volunteers total). Rooms are air-conditioned and share bathrooms. A fully outdoor Thai-style kitchen and laundry facilities are also shared. Wi-Fi is available.

Location

From Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, the fastest way to reach the center is by taxi, takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes at a cost of around 30 Euros. For a cheaper option, take a bus to Pattaya Jomtien Bus Terminal and then a taxi to the center, which takes about 2 hours and 40 minutes and costs around 15-18 Euros.

Pattaya, located on Thailand’s eastern Gulf coast, is known for its vibrant nightlife, beautiful beaches, and a wide range of attractions. When visiting Pattaya, plan your trip to include both cultural experiences and leisure activities.

Explore the bustling Walking Street in the evening, famous for its nightlife, bars, and restaurants. During the day, relax on Pattaya Beach or visit Jomtien Beach for a more laid-back atmosphere and water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. For a cultural experience, visit the Sanctuary of Truth, a stunning wooden temple filled with intricate carvings.

Head to the Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden to enjoy beautifully landscaped gardens, cultural shows, and an elephant show. The Pattaya Floating Market offers a unique shopping experience with vendors selling food, souvenirs, and handicrafts from traditional boats.

Take a day trip to Coral Island (Koh Larn) for clear waters, snorkeling, and beach activities. For families, Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark and Ramayana Water Park provide fun-filled days with various rides and attractions.

Pattaya is also home to the Pattaya Viewpoint on Pratumnak Hill, offering panoramic views of the city and bay, especially stunning at sunset. For those interested in wildlife, the Khao Kheow Open Zoo and the Pattaya Elephant Village offer interactive experiences.

Getting around Pattaya is easy with local transportation options like songthaews (shared taxis), motorbike taxis, and regular taxis. Walking is also convenient in the central areas. Ensure to respect local customs and be cautious of your belongings in crowded areas.

Additional Information

Volunteers are required to pay a daily fee of 7 Euros, covering accommodation, lunch, and uniform expenses. This fee supports our non-profit operations and is payable upon agreeing to stay.
