Maptrekking is a slow travel blog that helps people learn how to have meaningful travel experiences and immerse themselves in cultures by slowing down. But who is behind Maptrekking? Well, that would be me, Maria. You can read all about my full travel story here!
After much deliberation, I finally decided to pivot my career from the sports field to being a full-time travel blogger in 2020. I founded Maptrekking based on my initials MAP + the word ‘trekking’.
My goal for Maptrekking is to offer in-depth slow travel guides that are perfect for those wanting to get off the beaten tourist path. For me, travel means not only seeing beautiful sights but experiencing cultures. After traveling extensively, I truly believe traveling slowly is the ultimate way for authentic adventure.
MY AUDIENCE
Maptrekking receives around 14,000 page views per month. My main audience is from the United States, the United Kingdom, and the rest of Europe.
I have 30,000 monthly viewers (Pinterest) and a total of around 14,200 followers. That covers my email list and social media channels such as my Facebook page, Facebook group, Instagram, Pinterest & TikTok.
